Ryan Hemphill

Ryan Hemphill is an American investor, attorney and the founder of the Open Road Foundation, Inc.  Based in New York City, Ryan is a graduate of both the Frank G. Zarb School of Business and the Maurice A. School of Law at Hofstra University.  A lifelong car & motorcycle collector and enthusiast, Ryan is grateful to be able to pursue his passions for philanthropy and automobiles with the Open Road Foundation. 

Before venturing into the finance industry, Ryan Hemphill spent time in the public sector, working for the United Nations. He served as a Diplomatic Advisor and Delegate for IIMSAM as well as Director of the Intergovernmental Renewable Energy Organization (IREO).

Ryan Hemphill also spent time working as an off-broadway actor and director. After graduating from Hofstra University and the Hofstra University Honors College with degrees in both Drama and Philosophy, he spent time following his creative and artistic ambitions.

Throughout his career, Ryan has committed a great deal of his time to giving back to the community. Ryan Hemphill has been a dedicated member of numerous community service organizations and goodwill efforts both domestically and abroad. 

Gerald "Jerry" Upright, iii

Gerald Upright is a Senior Associate in Korn Ferry’s New York office. He is also a member of the Firm’s Global Energy Practice as well as the Global Industrial Practice.

Mr. Upright works closely with other members of the Global Energy Practice and Global Industrial Practice to cover the energy sector across the United States. His expertise includes Utilities, Exploration and Production, Midstream, Refining as well as the Oilfield & Industrial Manufacturing Services Sectors as well as Engineering & Construction.  Prior to joining Korn Ferry in 2012, Mr. Upright was a Senior Consultant at a global recruitment firm where he focused on the Business Services and the Financial Services industries dedicated to the Industrial Manufacturing and Energy sectors.

Mr. Upright graduated from Franklin and Marshall College in Lancaster, PA with a bachelor’s degree in Business, Organizations and Society.
